Fibromyalgia Syndrome
Fibromyalgia is an old medical dysfunction. There are some materials dated of 1815 talking about it. Fibromyalgia is also known by different names such as; Chronic Rheumatism, Myalgia, Fibrositis, and even as Psychological. Fibromyalgia is a non degenerative, chronic, non progressive, systemic pain condition. As of today, the lab tests done for Fibromyalgia are to rule out other conditions.
Researchers have identified 18 points of pain, however to be diagnosed, patient need to consult with a specialist, and must have 11 tender point present in all four quadrants of the body. Symptoms of Fibromyalgia are vast; sensitivity amplification, bladder irritability, spasticity, sleep problems, fatigue, stiffness, headaches, muscle cramps, and pain. The best way of dealing with Fybromyalgia is taking an active role.
